The Alabama Chapter of The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc. welcomes stitchers of every stitching level. We have monthly programs, Group Correspondence Courses, stitch-ins, bead interest groups, and many more interesting things to keep you stitching. We will challenge you, invigorate your stitching time, and teach you something along the way. Come join us. Check out the About Page for times and places. In 2009, Alabama Chapter has an exciting year planned: 2 Correspondence Courses, new Petite Projects, the national EGA Heart project, and ribbon candy for Potpourri. Join us for all the activities we have planned. We'll start the year with our annual dinner meeting and a lecture by Annelle Ferguson, a nationally-known expert on the world of needlework in miniature. Annelle is an author, designer, and stitcher in the tiny world of 72 stitches per inch. Wow!!! Over the summer, our members will be attending SAS XXIX in Nashville and the EGA National Seminar in Pittsburgh, PA. The Huntsville/Madison County Library will host our Christmas tree decorated with stitched ornaments in December. And remember the National Stitch in Public Day on Saturday, February 7. February is the National Embroidery Month. We have a full year planned with exciting events and programs. Stop by to see what we are doing and become a member. We hope to see you at one of our meetings.
